DJ AM & Travis Barker in Sacramento
Our own Mr. Vibe attended this high-profile event at The Park, in Sacramento last night. It was a packed house- for such a small house! And with tickets going at $50 online and $100+ at the door, our immediate question was- was it worth the dough? 'Cause let's face it, Sacramento's not a town that spends that kind of money for a club event, unless it's an open bar and they're passing out stimulus checks!
Well, according to Vibe, the mood was good, and the show was, "pretty good," being that it only lasted 45 minutes. The pair was back to work after that deadly airplane crash that left them both badly burned, just late last year. However, both looked remarkably unscathed and fully recovered. DJ AM did his thing, playing some eclectic rock tracks and doing a bit of scratching and juggling, alongside the former Blink 182 drummer, Travis Barker. But it soon turned a bit ugly when the venue just got too crowded and the involuntary shoving started.
The highlight of the night? Sac veteran DJ Eddie Edul, who kept the energy going. Props!

Glad to hear they're recovered & playing again. too bad they werent at a bigger place though. Big ups to the new blog!
I went to that show and all I can say is I am glad I didn't pay to get in (friend hooked up some VIP passes she won on the radio)... The set itself was off the hook however you are right, it lasted all of about 45 mins or so. We would have been BITTER if we had thrown down $55/each.
Lastly, I have never seen The Park packed like it was that night. Even the bouncer at the door made the same comment to us! We squeezed our way close to the front and it was suffocating like being front row at a venue like Arco.
